Frequently asked questions

1. Are you a nut free facility?

No.  Please note we take food allergies seriously: We are a facility that uses nuts, gluten, dairy, eggs, soy and cinnamon.  Even if not listed as an ingredient, for safety please assume all donuts could contain any and all of those ingredients.

2. Do you cater for weddings and special events?

Yes! We categorize these orders as Special Orders, please submit these to us via events@deviantdonuts.com or the ‘Contact Us’ form. Please contact us at least 2 weeks in advance. Our minimum for Special Orders is 2 dozen donuts. If you are requesting specific or customized flavors, we require each flavor be at least 1 dozen. Orders must be prepaid in advance.

3. Do you have Gluten Free or Vegan donuts?

We have both Vegan and Gluten Sensitive donuts! Our Gluten Sensitive products do not contain wheat flour but do contain milk and eggs. We use wheat flour in our Vegan products. Due to current projects, we have no plans to make a Gluten Sensitive/Vegan donut.

*Disclaimer: While we do not use any wheat flour in our Gluten Sensitive donuts, we are not a Certified Gluten Free facility. There is still risk for cross contamination. Please be advised.

4. What are your hours?

We are open 7:30 am - 5 pm (or sell out) Monday through Sunday. Our weekly specialty menus are available Thursdays thru Sundays.

5. How do I know which donuts are available this weekend?

Donuts listed on our weekly specialty menus will be available Thursdays thru Sundays. Flavors are posted on Monday mornings to our website and social media.

6. Can you set aside donuts?

Yes, you can preorder donuts via our website. We require at least one day notice and allow to preorder donuts only for Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays. All preorders must be at least 6 donuts. Make sure to specify what day & time you are picking up. All preorders must be prepaid online, or over the phone when you preorder.

7. Where are you located?

We are located in the Olde Mistick Village. 27 Coogan blvd. Building 6. Mystic, CT.

8. Do you sell your donuts anywhere else?

Not at this time.

9. When do you usually sell out?

There’s no way of knowing. Some days we sell out, some days we don’t. It depends entirely on people’s interests and the type of day it is.

10. What is a “Crö-Dö”?

Basically, our version of a croissant donut. We laminate layers of dough and butter together to create a croissant dough and fry it just like our brioche. Only available on Fridays and not listed in the menu.

11. Do you ever collaborate with other providers?

Yes! And it’s one of our favorite things to do. Please DM us or email us at events@deviantdonuts.com with all information regarding your ideas.

12. Can you donate to our charity?

When raising money for a charity, we usually donate a Deviant gift card or create a special donut in which 100% of its sales gets donated to the cause. We are passionate about giving back so please reach out to us by DMing us or emailing us at events@deviantdonuts.com.

Please be aware, we get asked to donate or participate in charity action a lot. We wish we could help everyone because it is something we genuinely love to do, however, with the large volume of offers we must prioritize our local community’s needs and ones that share our values.

13. Are you handicap accessible?

Yes!

14. Are you open year around?

Yes!

15. How do we know if you are out of a specific flavor?

To be honest, there is no way. We operate on a first come/first serve basis and will always reply, when asked, to come as early as possible.

16. “Your donuts are expensive”

Certainly a subject for debate. However, for the quality of ingredients we use, plus, the size of the final product we personally believe our donuts are very fair in price. We also take great care in each in every donut. Not a single automated machine is used in our kitchen. Every donut is handmade which you cannot get at a drive-thru or gas station. The average cost is typically $3.60 for a special flavor.
